Mushroom

Mushroom is one of the well- known organic product that we sell from our farm. Mushrooms are considered as healthy food product in Nepal. Some of the mushrooms are easy to grow such as portobellos (Agaricus bisporus) and wine caps (Stropharia rugosoannulata). The benefits of mushroom is it provides vitamin D in our body along with various nutrition that is necessary for our body to remain healthy. Mushrooms can be used for dyeing wool and other natural fiber. Since Nepal is one of the manufacturer of carpets and woolen products, the chromospheres of mushroom are used to dye to produce strong and vivid colors, and all colors of the spectrum can be achieved with mushroom dyes. Before the invention of synthetic dyes, mushrooms were the source of many textile dyes.
